We are looking for 44 children between the ages of 7-10 years to visit our lab and find out why and how TV commercials make people feel hungry. The study visit lasts about 2 hours. During the 2 hours, your child will be served a dinner meal and then they will watch children's television program with commercials during a brain scan with an MRI (no radiation). Afterwards, we will ask your child about the commercials they saw. Snacks and toys will be provided at the end of the visit.
At your visit, you and your child will meet with a study team member. Your child will be served a dinner meal and you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire about you and your child. After the meal, your child will practice an MRI scan and then will watch a children's cartoon program in an MRI. After the MRI scan, your child will be asked about the commercials they saw. Snacks and toys will be offered.
$75, Parking, picture of your child's brain, dinner meal and snacks
