Have you ever been concerned about your eating? We're inviting adults in the U.S. who have ever had anorexia nervosa, atypical anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, or avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) at any point in their life to take our survey. No official medical diagnosis is required. Common signs of different eating disorders may include: restricting the amount or type of food you eat or eating excessive amounts of food in one sitting. Some other possible signs are making yourself throw up, using diet pills or laxatives, excessively exercising, or fasting to alter your weight. Only with your help can we the causes and potential cures for these disorders. Eligible participants who complete Core Questionnaires and return their saliva sample will receive a $30 gift card.

Have you ever noticed yourself repeatedly thinking or doing specific things? Have you experienced symptoms of OCD now or in the past (even if you did not seek treatment)? Do you identify as Black? If you have (or think you might have) OCD, you may be able to participate in a study to learn more about OCD and new methods for prevention and treatment. Participants will receive $50.

Are you living with HIV? Do seek your care at the UNC Infectious Diseases Clinic? If so, you are eligible to participate in Database study! Participating is at no expense to you, and there are no study visits. You would be contributing to increasing knowledge about HIV and furthering the HIV research field.

This study is for patients diagnosed with breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body, which is called Metastatic Breast Cancer. This study will look at information from your tumor that may help choose treatments. Researchers will use this information to find out how different patients may respond to different treatments, leading to better treatments for future patients. You may not benefit personally, but your doctor may be given information which may help guide your treatments.

The survey and its findings will help us understand attitudes around cancer family history and genetic testing among Black people. This information will be used to develop an educational curriculum to strive towards health equity for Black people diagnosed with or at higher risk of cancer and get Black people the best cancer care.

There is very little knowledge about why Chinese-speaking Asians develop eating disorders. In this study, we want to understand the symptoms and genetic risks of eating disorders among Chinese-speaking Asians.

Have you been diagnosed with pleural fluid, and have been referred for a pleural fluid drainage? If so, you may be able to participate in a research registry to help us learn more about lung cancer.

Have you been diagnosed with oropharyngeal (tonsil or tongue base) cancer. If so, you may be able to take part in a research study testing markers to determine who may be appropriate for less aggressive therapy and markers to determine if recurrent tumors can be detected earlier.
