You and your child may be able to take part in a study designed to help us learn more about what children eat. During several visits that include surveys, taste tests, blood draws and even a brain image, we can learn more about the eating behaviors of children. Compensation provided.

Have you lost a loved one or know someone who lost a loved one? If you have attended mental health services and have been diagnosed with Prolonged Grief Disorder, you may be able to take part in a research study to help us create a safe and supportive environment where everyone feels valued and heard.

Are you or do you plan to exclusively breastfeed your baby? We are conducting a research study to determine if eating avocados changes the nutrients in your milk and if so, how that affects your baby's recognition memory and overall development. Avocados will be provided!

Do you experience difficulty swallowing/food getting stuck in your food pipe frequently? Do you experience nausea, heart burn, abdominal pain, or vomiting that doesn't respond to medication? Have you been diagnosed with eosinophilic esophagitis? If so, you may be eligible to participate in a research study at UNC Chapel Hill.

Are you Hispanic and have been recently diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes? You may be able to participate in a research study about how a community health worker may influence follow-up care.

The purpose of this study is to compare diet (record of the foods you eat), gut microbiome (stool sample), and cells (blood sample) in adults with IgA Nephropathy (IgAN) and compare with adults with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and adults with no history of medical problems. The information we learn by doing this study may help us understand how we might be able to target the microbiome to better understand the disease process and potentially help us develop new therapies in the future.

Do you have Type 2 Diabetes? Is your BMI in the obesity range and you want to lose weight? You may be eligible to participate in a research study to compare the effectiveness of Tirzepatide vs. a combination drug (Cagrilitide and Semaglutide)

Have you experienced a heart attack or had a stent procedure in the last 2 months at UNC hospitals? You may be able to take part in a pilot study to help us understand more about the activities and health of patients following a cardiac event! Would you be willing to help us expand medical knowledge in this area to better support patients in the future?

Do you use a THC vaping device? Help us learn more about what it does to your lungs. Compensation will be provided.

Does your school-age child seem tired or fatigued? If you have a child with hearing loss or a child with normal hearing, you may be able to participate in a research study to find out if listening fatigue is associated with differences in sleep outcomes. Compensation provided.
