Tissue Repository for Inflammatory & Allergic Chronic GI diseases

We want to collect information to support IBD research, food allergies, and disease of the mouth and gums. Specifically, we want to learn how oral health and food allergies contribute to gastrointestinal diseases. The information you provide will help us create a registry of patients to allow us to better understand these conditions and how they work together.

  • 0 years ~ 17 years
  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

This study is only available if you are going to have a screening colonoscopy as directed by your provider. At your scheduled procedure, we will collect blood and mouth swabs. Biopsies from your colonoscopy/endoscopy will also be collected at the discretion of the scoping provider. We will also give you a stool kit to take home and FedEx back to us. You can opt out of any of the collections.

Total length of participation:
3 years or more

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • You have suspected Crohn's Disease
  • You have suspected Ulcerative Colitis
  • If you may have any Food Allergies
  • You have any other unknown GI Issue
  • You are scheduled to have a screening colonoscopy

Not eligible if:

  • Over the age of 18
