Do you have metastatic breast cancer or care for someone with metastatic breast cancer? You may be able to take part in a research study to share your thoughts about conversations with your oncologist about your prognosis. These can be challenging conversations, and we want to hear from you about what is helpful or not helpful in these conversations.
Are you an African American who has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer? Have you ever considered participating in a clinical trial? If so, you may be able to join a research study that seeks to understand the best ways to share information about clinical trials. Compensation will be provided.
Interested in participating in future research studies? Whether you have had a previous concussion(s) or not, you may be able to take part in several research study opportunities. This registry simply collects your contact information and then we will reach out if any study opportunities are available.
Do you have a newborn baby? Do you also live in Lenoir, Pitt, Craven or Wayne County, NC? If so, you may be able to take part in a research study to find out if drinking bottled water with fluoride can help prevent cavities in children. Compensation provided.
Do you have any of your baby teeth or are you a parent who has kept your child's baby teeth? Are you a young adult or a parent of a child age 25 or under? Did you know scientists can learn all about different medications, foods, and environmental exposures in a child's early life from their teeth? You may be able to take part in a research study to learn what factors increase children's risk of developing EoE (eosinophilic esophagitis)! We are looking for children and young adults (age 0-25) with or without EoE to volunteer. Compensation will be provided.
Are you a Black patient who has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and seen a doctor at UNC to discuss treatment? Did COVID-19 cause your appointments to be done over the phone instead of in an office? If you discussed your prostate cancer diagnosis virtually or in person, you may be able to participate in a study looking to understand how treatment decisions are made by Black patients with prostate cancer. We want to know how you feel about your experience has been and how it could have been better! Compensation provided.
Do you ever wonder if there is a connection between oral and gut health and food allergies? Well, so do we! We are trying to enroll pediatric participants in our registry study to determine what the link is and use it to possibly help treat patients in the future.
