Testing the Usability of a Patient-Centered Tool

We are developing a computer-based tool for people who have cancers of the blood, bone marrow, and lymph nodes. This tool will help us understand what is most important to patients when it comes to the results of their treatment. We are looking for healthy volunteers (those without cancer) to help us test the usability of this tool.

Observational COPD Study

Dupilumab Eosinophilic Gastritis Study (DEGAS)

To see if a drug administered via injection (dupilumab) is safe and effective at reducing eosinophilic inflammation in the stomach of participants with eosinophilic gastritis (EG)/ eosinophilic gastroenteritis (EGE).

Ravulizumab/placebo for Lupus Nephritis or IgA Nephropathy

The study tests the safety and efficacy of a new type of drug, administered by intravenous infusion, for the treatment of lupus nephritis or IgA Nephropathy. You might be on the drug or on the placebo (no active drug ) and will help to figure out if this new drug is a good alternative or complement to existing drugs.

Barriers and Facilitators of Syphilis Vaccine Trial Participation

The purpose of this study is to conduct interviews to hear people's thoughts and feedback on various aspects of conducting syphilis vaccine research at UNC-Chapel Hill and to ask them to complete a brief online survey after their interviews. The information that participants provide will help the clinical trial researchers to better understand what concerns people might have about syphilis vaccine research and to design clinical trials that are acceptable to potential vaccine research participants.

Food Allergy and Eczema Observational Study

Are you currently pregnant and planning to deliver at UNC? If so, you and your baby may be eligible to take part in an exciting research opportunity! The SUNBEAM study will examine factors that lead to the development of food allergies and eczema (chronic itchy skin) in young babies and toddlers. Testing the Addition of Lenalidomide and Nivolumab to the Usual Treatment for Primary CNS Lymphoma

This phase I trial is to find out the best dose, possible benefits and/or side effects of lenalidomide when added to nivolumab and the usual drugs (rituximab and methotrexate) in patients with primary central nervous system (CNS) lymphoma.

Lung Cancer Screening Study

We are conducting this study because we want to learn how to help people decide if lung cancer screening is right for them. Our goal is to test materials (a brief video and a short online survey) that discuss the benefits and harms of lung cancer screening. We are looking for people who smoke now or who used to smoke cigarettes and who would be willing to participate in an interview.
