You are being asked to participate in this research study because you have a type of tumor called a Central Nervous System (CNS) tumor, and you are scheduled to have surgery to remove this tumor. The study team wants to use left-over tumor samples from this surgery to study your tumor and test new ways to fight it.
This is a study evaluating whether the use of an electronic web-based tool containing surveys could support patients and doctors make better treatment decisions together. New patients, 60 years or older, will be randomized to either receive the tool or not. Surveys will be collected from patients about their experience in making treatment decisions to evaluate whether the tool was beneficial.
The purpose of this study is to develop and validate an Artificial intelligence (AI)-based tissue sample analysis tool that can predict response & progression rates to chemotherapy in intermediate-risk (IR) and high-risk (HR) Non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) patients. This study will use AI-based tissue sample analysis as a possible tool to help predict which patients are at high-risk for cancer recurrence and progression after surgery and chemotherapy treatment. Specimens will be obtained for each patient before treatment and at the 12, 24, & 36 month follow-up to be analyzed using the AI-based tool.
The proposed study will fill critical gaps regarding which characteristics make LCC warning labels most effective and provide needed evidence on how LCC warnings influence LCC behavioral intentions. Our overarching goal is to develop effective LCC warnings that reduce cancer and other health risks.
The study purpose is to find out if (a) it's possible to deliver healthy frozen meals to homes of children receiving chemotherapy, and (b) the meals are acceptable to the children and their families.
Black men are diagnosed with prostate cancer more often than white men, and more commonly die from this disease. Care for advanced prostate cancer has improved a great deal over the past ten years, but these differences have continued. In order to improve equity in cancer care, we want to determine who is not getting the highest quality of care and whether race is associated with differences in care. Our study will ask Black and White men about their experiences with cancer care - if they trusted their doctors, how well their doctors communicated with them, and if they were satisfied with the care they received. We will ask about the challenges they experienced in receiving care, and what might have helped them get better care. We will use these results to design a better way to deliver care.
The main objective is to glean stakeholders' perspectives about implementing and disseminating an intervention for Black women with breast cancer and their female support people into clinical care.
We are studying how young people respond to vaping prevention video ads. We are inviting people aged 13-20 to participate in this research. Participants will watch some short videos about vaping and answer a survey. The whole process will take approximately 20 minutes. Feedback will help improve future vaping prevention efforts.
This study will investigate how mechanical properties of breast tissue, such as stiffness, viscosity, and anisotropy, are related to breast tumor malignancy and response to chemotherapy. The study uses ultrasound imaging to measure these mechanical properties non-invasively in human subjects.
