To explore this, researchers will interview surgeons, nurses, hospital staff, and patients to learn more about the barriers and how music therapy might be better included in surgical care.

Brooks Oral History

I'm doing a project to learn how Lumbee food traditions are kept alive today. I'm talking with Lumbee community members about the meals they cook, the gardens they grow, and the stories they remember. These food traditions, like making cornbread or growing collards, help show who we are and where we come from. I want to understand how these traditions are passed down in families and shared in the community, even as times change. By recording these stories, I hope to help keep them alive for future generations.
