Standardized patients are often utilized in health profession programs to attain clinician and didactic skill development. However, research on using standardized patients in dental hygiene education is limited. The purpose of this research study is to investigate dental hygiene directors' utilization, knowledge, and perceptions regarding integrating standardized patients into the curriculum.

This study aims to assess the image quality of the second-generation CBCTs-multi-source CBCT (ms-CBCT), dual-energy CBCT (de-CBCT), and a combination of both (de-ms-CBCT)-to the conventional, first generation CBCT, by objective and subjective measures.

This study will also help us find out if these tools help us with teaching and learning about nursing.

The Currituck Sound is a unique coastal system of numerous habitats and relatively low salinity levels which allow for it to support diverse wildlife recreational opportunities, and other important ecosystem services. However, due to various anthropogenic factors, the sound is facing multiple threats such as sea level rise, erosion, and nutrient loading. In order to protect the sound, the Currituck Sound Coalition was formed and it now works to restore the sound. This research project will look at Currituck Sound Coalition members' perceptions of the Sound, its components, processes, and how they interact. Semi-structured interviews will be conducted to create members' mental models of the Sound. Models will be analyzed for differences and similarities.

This mixed methods study aims to better understand parents' decisions in the Southeast United States who send their children to ACE and non-ACE preschool programs by exploring their characteristics and motivations for enrolling their young children in these programs.

Patients unable to participate in decision-making about their care deserve a surrogate decision-maker to act on their behalf. In this study we will examine typical patterns employed by trainees to identify surrogates and communicate basic understanding of the surrogate role.

This study intends to examine how Black, queer, and disabled individuals navigate risk assessments in a "post-pandemic" era and how this may impact their interpersonal relationships and trust in the authority and credibility of the CDC.
