We would like to help patients identify what is important to them, i.e., their values, and support communicating that to their caregivers and healthcare providers. We are trying to create a tool that will make it easier to share what is most important to patients with metastatic breast cancer and their caregivers, with the patient's oncology healthcare provider.
To compare the surgical site infection (SSI) rates of the current severe open fracture antibiotic strategy to a revised SEXTANT treatment strategy designed to address the modern wound bioburden at the time of wound closure or coverage.
Identify the bias and algorithms of TikTok's recommender system and to see how the bias of recommendation algorithms affects user experience.
This preliminary fieldwork will allow me to assess site feasibility in Georgia, North Carolina, and Colombia for an ethnography of agricultural intermediaries and will shape my future dissertation project and course of studies. The research seeks to expand understandings of extension, an agricultural development model characterized by top-down dissemination of university-based research. Studying how extension employees navigate between their bureaucratic organizations and the farmers they serve -- noting who is considered an expert, how knowledge and technology are produced, and who is involved in the process (and under what circumstances) -- has potential implications for a more just food system.

I will study how many practices use Transitional Care Management or Chronic Care Management billing codes over time, and how these billing codes affect patient outcomes such as readmissions and emergency visits. In addition, I will interview practices as to why they choose to use or not use these billing codes.
The purpose of this research study is to better understand participant's experiences in our research study, including their motivations for and concerns about participating in research in order, to learn strategies to enhance participant experiences, safety, and benefit. We aim to collect data which can shape our data collection policies in our own lab and create inclusive research guidelines for other neuroscience researchers studying early childhood.
To adapt and initially test an established physical activity promotion intervention for use in adult supervised care (e.g., adult care homes, day cares).
I am looking to examine information-seeking behavior around how people repair and maintain unsupported legacy equipment.
Recent studies have suggested that previously unknown proteins found in human blood could be involved in certain auto-immune conditions. The purpose of this research study is to investigate the presence (or absence) of these proteins in blood from patients with SLE. Identifying new proteins involved in the SLE disease process could provide a new molecular model for auto-immune disorders and eventually lead to new diagnostic tools and/or new therapies.
