Medical Student Advising in ENT

Mentorship for medical students applying to competitive residencies such as Otolaryngology is vital for their success in matching into the field. Despite medical student advising being important in Otolaryngology, there is almost no research looking into the effectiveness of the strategies Otolaryngology departments utilize in order to mentor and successful match students. The purpose of this study is to evaluate over the last 10 years how UNC medical students who applied into Otolaryngology feel about the advising process they received.
