The purpose of this study is to build a database of information and a collection of specimens like blood and skin from patients with hidradenitis suppurativa. This will help us understand hidradenitis suppurativa better and help researchers have access to good information and resources for studies.
All existing studies estimate the health effects of disability insurance based on reduced form models. This paper fills the gap in the literature by developing a model that allows the estimation of the Social Security Disability Insurance effects on health in a structural way. The structural model enables me to analyze counterfactual scenarios. In particular, I concentrate on the modification of the SSDI program that permits partial benefits for the partially disabled.

High school is the last opportunity a state institution can ensure its next generation has a solid grasp of their country's past and present, its core principles, and obligations of responsible citizenship. The 2022-2023 school year will be the second year NC students are taking the Founding Principles of the United States and North Carolina: Civic Literacy classes and high school graduates will be a mixture of those who have taken the new civics course and those who will be able to graduate without taking it as a requirement. This study is important because it is attempting to assess the current knowledge, attitudes, and feeling of recent NC high school graduates who have a range of civic education opportunities. Teachers also provide an important perspective as they are end users of many policy decisions and are at the heart of providing civic education to high school students.
Professionalism is the first of six core competencies required in the curriculum of residency programs. Significant research has been done exploring the domains of professionalism in general and within the context of anesthesiology and anesthesiology training. Although little research has been done to identify breaches in professionalism most common today, research has shown there is a correlation between unprofessional behavior among physicians and patient dissatisfaction, lawsuits, and negative patient outcomes. The purpose of this study is to identify the most commonly perceived domains of unprofessional behavior observed in anesthesiology residency training programs. Additionally, we wish to see if professional lapses may stem from generational differences between teachers and trainees in their perception of professional behavior.
I am studying how times of crisis, such as the Greek debt disaster, have forced or encouraged people to make lifestyle changes in order to adapt to or cope with the conditions of the crisis, and how these changes have impacted their lives and wellbeing. This study is important because it will help reveal how people can adapt to crisis, and what changes are likely to be constructive or beneficial to their wellbeing.
