The Autism Research program is an on-going project that has 2 components. One involves permission to conduct Records Reviews of client data and the other is a Research Registry for permission to contact subjects about future research studies. The purpose of both components is to support research in the field of autism and to provide information to help others with this disability. The Records Review answers research questions based on existing subject records. The Research Registry assists research investigators with recruitment of subjects and confidentiality of subjects. The risk is not more than minimal.

This is a non-interventional, observational study to collect data on survival, quality of life, and other follow-up information on patients who receive GammaTile therapy.

The purpose of this study is to test a smartphone app that helps Black women with binge eating. First, participants in the study will complete interviews that help identify barriers and reasons that lead to binge eating in Black women with obesity. With that information, researchers will test and improve a smartphone app to include necessary intervention functions to reduce binge eating in the target population. Part of the testing process includes focus group sessions where participants will give feedback on : 1) organization and presentation, 2) content, 3) sensitivity to issues faced by Black women who binge eat; 4) therapeutic benefit; 5) user-friendliness; and 6) quality of intervention. All information collected from focus groups will be considered in the final version of the app.

The purpose of this study is to examine the association of social physique anxiety and burnout, perfectionism and burnout, and the intersection of these variables together on burnout in American collegiate dancers to gain knowledge concerning burnout development in this population.

We are studying the frequency of flooding in coastal North Carolina and the impacts of floods on households and businesses.

To examine the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy of the [Identify, Connect, And REfer (ICARE)] program on participant knowledge, self-efficacy, and targeted mental health bystander behaviors in a sample of coaches from an NCAA Division I institution.

The purpose of this research study is to develop the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias Palliative Care (ADRD-PC) program for persons with late-stage ADRD and their family members during a hospitalization. For patients, we aim to learn if this program of dementia-specific palliative is effective to reduce hospital transfers, improve symptom treatment, supplement supportive services and reduce nursing home transitions. For family members, we aim to improve communication with clinicians, shared decision-making and decrease distress.

The death of a parent is a traumatic event for their surviving co-parents and minor children, yet there is a lack of resources and support for widowed parents. The study aims to (1) better understand the reasons that parents express interest in the Widowed Parent Moms' or Dads' Groups, and (2) receive parents' feedback on the program.

We will collect stem cells from individuals with autism to investigate brain development in sibling pairs who do not share a diagnosis of ASD, as well as examine associations between brain growth and variation in ASD-related behaviors.
