This will help us understand how to better integrate mental health treatments into medical care. We will interview those involved in health care and district health decisions to understand the context of mental health care in Malawi and how we can adapt LOCI to best serve Malawian health leaders.

Multiple Myeloma study

You are being asked to take part in this study because you previously agreed to receive a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved drug, idecabtagene vicleucel (ide-cel), for the treatment of your disease as part of routine care and not a clinical research study. You had the blood collection (leukapheresis) (pronounced loo-ka-fer-ee-sis) procedure, your T cells (a subset of your white blood cells that are part of your immune system and attack things like infections and cancer cells) were collected and genetically modified in a laboratory in order to manufacture the ide-cel T cells for your disease treatment. The ide-cel T cells that were produced do not meet all of the prespecified release criteria to be used as a routine prescription drug as required by the governing health authority (such as the FDA) where you are being treated. For example, the modified T cells may have a lower cell

Land Back Abolition Project

This project seeks to study the history and present impacts of UNC on surrounding communities. The purpose is to understand the impact that the university has had historically and in the present, for instance on Native communities whose land UNC resides on (or has profited from the sale of), and people who were enslaved from or who otherwise have contributed or contribute now to the building and maintenance of the university. This will be part of the classes of Danielle Purifoy and Sara Smith, where students will take up questions generated by community members. It will also include undergraduate and graduate students who wish to participate.
