The Effect of Political Affiliation on

The purpose of this study is to see how political affiliations affect views and attitudes toward social and environmental sustainability. In addition, it aims to determine how different political affiliations respond to differently framed sustainable marketing messages. Individuals who take part in this research will be asked to view stimuli featuring a product and its sustainable impact. Then, they will be asked to record what they believe to be a fair price for each product.

PAUSE- Yoga: An 8-week mindfulness-based yoga intervention for women's sport student-athletes transitioning into college and collegiate sport

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of an 8-week yoga mindfulness meditation to identify the relationship between mindfulness yoga and stress, depression, and anxiety. Participants: Forty- four women sports student-athletes ages 18 and over in their first two years of undergraduate study at ACC member universities within a four-hour drive of the home institution. This will allow for the delivery of PAUSE-Yoga materials. Participants will complete a survey prior to the program with demographic information and the following scales: Academic Identity Measurement Scale, Athlete Identity Measurement Scale, Exercise Identity Scale, Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale, The International Adjustment Disorder Questionnaire, Transition Plan, Subjective Physical and Mental Health, Social Support, and Resource List. Another survey will be administered post-program with the same scales as the pre-program. Eight, 45-minute Zoom yoga sessions will be completed over 8 weeks for the PAUSE- Yoga group.

Exploring the Effects of Generative AI on Search Behaviors

This project will investigate how different types of search engines (e.g. Google) and generative AI systems (e.g. chatGPT) may help users when conducting information-seeking tasks. Our results will inform the design of search tools and increase our understanding of how generative AI systems can be integrated with search tools to assist users.

Low oxygen in pregnant women with sickle cell

The goal of this study is to uncover the frequency of low oxygen levels during sleep in pregnant women that have severe sickle cell disease. These women have a high risk of complications during pregnancy, and low oxygen levels might contribute to the complications. Therefore, finding and treating low oxygen can be impactful. The study will also look at blood cells and assess how low oxygen affects them.

Nasal Swab to Evaluate Lung Cancer Risk

The DNA that we can test from a nasal swab, can help us determine a patient's lung cancer risk. For patients with new lung nodules found on CT scans, we are offering this nasal swab test and collecting data on how physicians use test results to help assess risk and determine treatment strategies.
