Attitudes and Knowledge of Postpartum Nurses Collaborating with Volunteer Doulas

Accordingly, the purpose of this project is to identify attitudes and experiences that postpartum nurses have had with doulas during the postpartum period to inform practices to further collaboration and effective patient-centered care. Doula care has been found to be beneficial to patient outcomes, but that is only possible when all members of the healthcare team are working together effectively to support patient outcomes.

Promoting Clinical Trials in African Americans with Pancreatic Cancer

This study seeks to promote clinical trial engagement in African Americans with pancreatic cancer. The first group of people will be interviewed by phone to discuss clinical trials. This information will be used to create a new mobile health app/website. In the second group, half of the participants will receive the new app and half will not. They will both be asked to complete questionnaires after their upcoming doctor visits.

Evaluation of NC Child Welfare Collaborative

The purpose of this evaluation will be to assess how the NC-DSS competencies and learning objectives for the Child Welfare in North Carolina -Pre-service Course are integrated into the curriculum of NC Social Work programs participating in the NC-Child Welfare Education Collaborative (NC-CWEC) program. NC-CWEC is a statewide consortium of social work programs that are incorporating NC-DSS competencies and learning objectives that address child welfare practice into the curriculum of their social work programs.

UNCPM 22305 - Enhancing HIV prevention and reducing alcohol use among people receiving STI care in Malawi: A formative qualitative study

Brain slice explants to predict drug response in brain tumors

You are being asked to participate in this research study because you have a type of tumor called a Central Nervous System (CNS) tumor, and you are scheduled to have surgery to remove this tumor. The study team wants to use left-over tumor samples from this surgery to study your tumor and test new ways to fight it.
