We will identify changes in the numbers, seriousness, and outcomes of breast cancers diagnosed during the COVID-19 pandemic, compared to before the pandemic.
This study is being done to answer the following question: Do two different anti-cancer drugs, paclitaxel (PTX) and pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD) have similar effects on treating KS in PLWH in sub-Saharan Africa? We are doing this study because we want to find out if one of these approaches, PTX or PLD, is better than the other for KS. Both drugs may be given as part of the usual approach for your KS. The usual approach is defined as care most people get for KS.
This study investigates whether and how local economic power explains the unequal state development in Chile. On the one hand, I intend to assess how close ties between businesspeople and mayors obstruct the state's efforts to improve social services and goods for the population. On the other hand, I aim to study how these close linkages curb the extent that local politicians invest in a better capacity to collect money from taxes.
Women's Police Stations were established in Brazil in 1985 to respond to reports of violence against women. Since then, they have spread throughout Latin America, but they take different forms. I am interested in seeing what may make some Women's Police Stations more effective than others. It is important to know the conditions under which these stations do their jobs, to prevent and respond to violence against women.

The purpose of this study is to lay the groundwork for a pragmatic trial and real-world implementation of Mouth Care Without a Battle (MCWB) for assisted living (AL) residents with dementia and their caregivers. The aims are to refine MCWB for AL, and examine research efficacy (working with a research dental hygienist) and real-world efficacy (working with community public health dental hygienists) to train personal care aides in 48 AL communities across North Carolina to provide mouth care.
The purpose of this study is to characterize the natural history of DRPLA patients using a variety of clinical and biomarker modalities and to identify genetic factors, biomarkers, and clinical measures that could predict disease progression.
