In this study, we want to learn how we can increase awareness and availability of specialty pain care services for Black men. We will do this by asking questions about physical health, access to health care, decision-making, and factors that impact someone's health.

We are holding focus group sessions with family medicine physicians, senior patients, caregivers of senior patients, patients experiencing homelessness, and patients experiencing food insecurity to gain a deeper understanding of the major health risk factors they face and the words they use to describe them.

In the Carolina Blue Project, we want to learn more about work-related stress, eating behaviors, and cardiovascular disease risk factors among law enforcement officers. If you work as a law enforcement officer in any North Carolina or nearby states law enforcement department, you may be able to take part in this study.
