ICU outcomes Study

We would like to better understand what adverse symptoms occur after cardiac surgery and intensive care and how symptoms evolve over time. We will be following patients' symptoms from prior to their surgery to three months after ICU discharge.

Economic and Stigma Reduction Intervention for Young People with HIV

The purpose of the study is two-fold. The first is to conduct an adaptation of a microeconomic strengthening and stigma reduction intervention for young people with HIV in Zambia. The second is to pilot test the adapted intervention and assess its feasibility, acceptability, implementation costs, and preliminary effects.

Breast Cancer and Health Promotion Study

Black women have worse breast cancer outcomes than White women. Physical activity can help cancer survivors live longer, feel better, and stay healthier. However, there aren't many health promotion programs to help Black women diagnosed with breast cancer become physically active, feel better, and stay healthy. The purpose of this study is to understand what kind of health promotion programs Black women diagnosed with breast cancer prefer and how different things affect their health and lifestyle. The insights gained from this study will help develop a customized health promotion program for Black women diagnosed with breast cancer.

LiveWellNow Pilot Study at Fort Liberty

Phase I user testing will occur at multiple different types of food retail venues (DFACS, commissary, food trucks), with assistance from our food retail partners at WAMC, 18th Airborne Corps, and Fort Liberty Commissary. Liver Surgery Study

The purpose of this research study is to interview patients with fatty liver disease who are planning to have liver surgery. Our goal is to understand patients' health beliefs with fatty liver disease and what weight loss behaviors they would be willing to follow prior to surgery.
