We would like to receive advice on the design of a research trial from people who have used the service we will be studying before.
Train a machine learning algorithm to identify normal eyes compared to eyes with trichiasis (an infectious eye disease that causes lashes to turn inwards)
Vietnamese Americans in North Carolina have vibrant diversity in origin stories - in pursuit of political freedom (Dang 2008), access to higher quality education (Ngo 2007), and religious freedom (Phan 2023) among many others. We are doing a diagnostic evaluation of patients with Primary Immunodeficiencies (PID) and Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD) to see if we can determine clinic differences between the two groups. This information will help us to define future studies.
The purpose of this research study is to better understand how AI-tools like ChatGPT can help students in their learning, their assignments, and their exams.
We want to test adults with sickle cell disease, using both the conventional in-person Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA) and, within 2-4 months, the abbreviated 'MOCA-blind', which can be given remotely. In this way we can begin to evaluate whether these tests are sensitive to similar degrees of impairment when given remotely compared with in-person in people with sickle cell disease (SCD).
Scuba divers are at risk of developing decompression sickness (DCS). This study aims to understand how different gases breathed during the dive (notably helium vs nitrogen) can influence that risk by quantifying bubbles that form during and after diving and other inflammatory markers, both shown to relate to DCS risk.
This is a multicenter, open-label study to study the safety and characteristics of DNL310, an investigational drug designed to treat both the body and brain manifestations of Mucopolysaccharidosis type II (MPS II; Hunter syndrome). The plan is for each participant to start at a low dose and increase over time until a final dose is achieved. Blood, urine and CSF samples will be taken, and tests and assessments will be done to see how your child is doing in the study.
We are hoping to have patient who under went doulbe-jaw surgery for obstructive sleep apnea fill out a survey to inform of us there experience, expectations, and results after surgery.
