Many genetic counselors work at universities where academic publishing is important for career advancement. In other disciplines, writing groups have been used to increase writing productivity and confidence in writing and publications skills. There is a lack of information about writing group use among genetic counselors. This study aims to understand the goals and experiences of genetic counselors participating in a Summer writing group.

This study is helping to plan and evaluate a SNAP in Schools component of a Coordinating SNAP and Nutrition Support project being carried out by partner organizations in North Carolina. The study includes a survey to see if families attending Buncombe County Schools are aware of and using food resources such as Food and Nutrition Services (FNS)/Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and school meals. The responses provided will be used to help plan activities to increase awareness and access to food assistance resources for Buncombe County Schools families.

The purpose of this research study is to assess how inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) influences reproductive and contraceptive concerns for young women with IBD and to explore their preferences regarding contraceptive counseling in the IBD clinic. The results from this study will give providers essential insight into the contraceptive use concerns and preferences of young women with IBD.
The purpose of this study is to develop and validate an Artificial intelligence (AI)-based tissue sample analysis tool that can predict response & progression rates to chemotherapy in intermediate-risk (IR) and high-risk (HR) Non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) patients. This study will use AI-based tissue sample analysis as a possible tool to help predict which patients are at high-risk for cancer recurrence and progression after surgery and chemotherapy treatment. Specimens will be obtained for each patient before treatment and at the 12, 24, & 36 month follow-up to be analyzed using the AI-based tool.
