PALS - Patient Advocates for Lupus Studies

The PALS program is a peer support program that aims to improve participation in lupus clinical trials through increased education and availability of information about clinical trials.

  • 18 years ~ 99 years
  • Male, Female


North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

2 surveys for control group or 6 education sessions for treatment group


$10 for pre and post test survey and $20 for follow-up survey via Amazon gift cards

Phone or online visits : 6
Total length of participation : 2 - 12 weeks depending on the group

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • Diagnosed SLE
  • No previous participation in a drug study clinical trial
  • Reliable access to Internet at home or outside of home

Not eligible if:

  • Non-English speaking
