Low Motivation and Pleasure

Researchers at UNC and Duke are evaluating a new talk therapy. They are looking for adults who are not currently taking any psychiatric medications and/or not currently in psychotherapy and are experiencing symptoms of low motivation and pleasure to participate in this study. Eligible participants will receive up to 15 therapy sessions from a Duke clinician at no cost in addition to other compensation.

Age & Gender

  • 18 years ~ 50 years
  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

Visit Availability

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)

Location

North Carolina (Durham, Orange)

What will be asked of you

Participants will complete 2 MRI scans and up to 15 weeks of talk therapy sessions.

Incentives

$360-690

In-person visits : Up to 18
Total length of participation : Up to 15 weeks

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • 18 - 50 years of age
  • experiencing symptoms of low motivation and pleasure
  • able to receive an MRI scan

Not eligible if:

  • not currently taking any psychiatric medications and/or not currently in psychotherapy
  • not able to receive an MRI scan
