CureGN Diabetes

CureGN is a large multi-center, long-term study of patients with diabetes and who also have nephrotic syndrome or other glomerular diseases. The goal of the study is learn more about how diabetes can effect kidney disease.

18 years ~ 99 years
Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)
Visits can be combined with regular clinical appointments

North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

At each in-person study visit, you will: fill out questionnaires, provide a blood sample, provide a urine sample, and provide information on your medical history. At each remote visit you will: fill out a questionnaire and answer questions about your health status.

Incentives

$50 for each in-person visit, Access to a dashboard to view lab results and quality of life scores over time

In-person visits:
2 visits the first year; 1 each additional year

Phone or online visits:
1 each year

Total length of participation:
5 years

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

Diabetes (Type 1 or Type 2)
One of these glomerular (kidney) diseases: Minimal Change Disease (MCD), Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), Membranous Nephropathy (MN) , IgA Nephropathy (IgAN)
At least 18 years old

Not eligible if:

On dialysis
Received a kidney transplant
