Chronic Kidney Disease and Type 2 Diabetes Treatment Study

In this study, we will learn more about the safety and effectiveness of a study treatment that is injected into one of the kidneys of patients with Chronic Kidney Disease and Type 2 Diabetes.

What will be asked of you

This study involves around 21 visits to UNC-Chapel Hill over 2 years and 10 months. Participation includes 1 kidney biopsy and 2 study treatment injections. We will also do some scans of your kidneys and other lab tests.

Able to participate:

You have Chronic Kidney Disease due to Diabetic Nephropathy
You have a Diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes

Not eligible if:

You have received a Kidney Transplant
You are currently receiving Renal Dialysis
