Diabetes Weight Loss Study with Cardiovascular Risk

The goal of this study is to look at a new medication to be used for diabetes management compared to insulin that may help A1c, weight loss, and heart health.

Age & Gender

  • 18 years ~ 99 years
  • Male, Female

Visit Availability

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)

Location

North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

Participation will include screening where we will obtain medical history, medications, and labs. The study will require labs at in person visits. Patients will have to complete questionnaires. ECGs and eye exams provided. Diabetes care provided by study team. Willingness to adhere to study drug schedule.

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • T2 Diabetes
  • Obesity
  • Overweight
  • Cardiovascular disease

Not eligible if:

  • T1 Diabetes
  • Stage V Chronic Kidney Disease
  • Class IV Congestive Heart Failure
  • Active Cancer Diagnosis
  • Pancreatitis
