Cancer Research Study for Bertie, Hertford, Robeson & Scotland Co, NC and neighboring counties

The purpose of this study is to understand what factors encourage and discourage rural and racially and ethnically diverse populations to participate in cancer clinical research studies. The study is focused on people living in Bertie, Hertford, Robseon and Scotland Co, NC and neighboring counties. We also want to hear what healthcare providers in these NC areas think about cancer clinical research barriers and facilitators.

Age & Gender

  • 18 years ~ 99 years
  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

Location

North Carolina (Bertie, Hertford, Robeson, Scotland)

What will be asked of you

You will be asked about questions about your thoughts on cancer clinical research. It should take about 5 to 10 minutes to answer these questions.

Incentives

1 in 10 participants will receive a $25 Visa gift card.

Total length of participation:
5 to 10 minutes

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • You have been diagnosed with cancer at some time in your life (a cancer survivor) or have been the caregiver of someone diagnosed with cancer
  • You are 18 years+
  • You spend time in Bertie, Hertford, Robeson or Scotland County, NC or a neigboring county

Not eligible if:

  • You have not been diagnosed with cancer or have not been the caregiver of someone diagnosed with cancer.
  • You are under 18 years of age.
  • You do NOT spend time in Bertie, Hertford, Robeson or Scotland County, NC or a neighboring county.
