Study of Oral Epetraborole for the Treatment of M. Avium Complex (MAC) Disease

We are hoping to examine how well orally administered Epetraborole works as a treatment for patients with M. Avium Complex (MAC) lung infections. This study is also examining the safety of this medication when used to treat this disease.

18 years ~ 99 years

Visits can be combined with regular clinical appointments

What will be asked of you

During these in-person visits, you will answer questionnaires, have blood drawn, vital signs collected, urine samples collected, and provide samples of your sputum (coughed mucus). You will receive up to 3 CT scans as part of this study. You will also be required to take the study medication as directed throughout your participation.

Incentives

$1300 total for completion of study, Reimbursement for travel expenses may be provided

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

You are currently diagnosed with a M. Avium Complex (MAC) infection of your lungs
Have received treatments for MAC disease in the past

Not eligible if:

You currently have lung cancer or any other cancer that requires treatment
You are pregnant or breastfeeding
You have HIV/AIDS or use a medication that suppresses your immune system
You have taken Epetraborole previously for any reason
