Chronic Disease Study

The purpose of this study is to better understand the impact of chronic health conditions on people living with HIV. Both people living with HIV and people without HIV are invited to join this study.

Extended hours (M-F, early morning or evening)

What will be asked of you

This study includes visits, at least once per year, that may take up to 4 hours and include an interview with our study staff where we ask questions about your health and well-being, lab testing, and a physical exam with a clinician.

Incentives

Up to $150 per visit, You will be reimbursed for travel. You will also have free medical evaluations and laboratory tests and access to staff who can help you with obtaining medical care and social support for conditions that are not treated by the study.

In-person visits:
You will need to attend at least one visit per year.

Phone or online visits:
There may be times where parts of a study visit can be done by phone or online.

Total length of participation:
This study does not have an end. It is a long-running cohort that has been active for over 35 years!

Looking for Healthy Volunteers

Requirements for healthy volunteers are different than for those with a specific condition. If you are interested in becoming a healthy volunteer for this study, use the below categories to determine if you are able to participate.

You are willing to attend study visits at least one a year that may include a blood draw and physical exam
