Women's Health Study

The purpose of this study is to better understand the impact of HIV on women's lives and bodies. Both women living with HIV and women without HIV are invited to join this study.

Age & Gender

  • 18 years ~ 45 years
  • Female

Visit Availability

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)
  • Extended hours (M-F, early morning or evening)

North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

This study includes visits, at least once per year, that may take up to 4 hours and include an interview with our study staff where we ask questions about your health and well-being, lab testing, and a physical exam with a clinician.

Incentives

Up to $150 per visit, You will be reimbursed for travel. You will also have free medical evaluations and laboratory tests and access to staff who can help you with obtaining medical care and social support for conditions that are not treated by the study.

In-person visits:
You will need to attend at least one visit per year in-person.
Phone or online visits:
You will need to have at least one phone visit per year.
Total length of participation:
This study does not have an end.

Looking for Healthy Volunteers

Requirements for healthy volunteers are different than for those with a specific condition. If you are interested in becoming a healthy volunteer for this study, use the below categories to determine if you are able to participate.

Able to participate:

  • You are willing to attend study visits at least one a year that may include a blood draw and physical exam

  • None
