Heels 2 Participation (H2P) Interviews

We are doing this study to learn from adults with intellectual disabilities and their care partners about experiences with technology, school and community activities, and the kinds of knowledge that help people with intellectual disabilities as they become adults. This information will be used to help create online e-learning tools.

What will be asked of you

You and your care partner will participate in a virtual (zoom) interview that lasts about one hour. You will both be asked questions about your thoughts and experiences with school and community activities that help people become adults and how you use technology for learning. Also, you will both view HEELS e-learning tools on screen and answer questions about them.

Incentives

The adult with I/DD will receive a $100 digital gift card and the care partner will receive a $100 digital gift card after completing the interview.

Total length of participation:
1 hour and 15 minutes. Both particpants will be scheduled for a brief screening call together(15 minutes). The interview will take about 1 hour.

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • you are an adult age 18 to 30 years old
  • you have an intellectual or developmental disability
  • you have a care partner age 18 or older available to participate with you
  • you have a computer and reliable internet access for a zoom study interview
  • both participant speak English

Not eligible if:

  • you are not an adult age 18 to 30 years old
  • you do not have an intellectual or developmental disability
  • you do not have a care partner age 18 or older available to participate with you
  • you do not have a computer and reliable internet access for a zoom interview
  • you do not speak English
