Lung Cancer Treatment Study

In this study, we want to see if a new type of medicine for lung cancer treatment is better than the usual treatments. We are curious if this new medicine could improve things for people with lung cancer. This will help us understand if the new medicine will treat people better or faster.

Age & Gender

  • 18 years ~ 99 years
  • Male, Female

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)

North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

At each visit, you will meet with a provider of the study team to do lab testing and get medicine. You will take either the study drug or a placebo pill twice a day, every day. CT scans will be done every 6 weeks. The study also involves blood draws and questionnaires to answer.

Total length of participation:
2-4 years

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • You have Stage III or Stage IV Lung Cancer
  • You have a KRAS G12C Mutation
  • You have not yet received treatment for your cancer diagnosis
  • You are willing to take the study medication or a placebo twice daily by swallowing capsules

Not eligible if:

  • You have Small Cell Lung Cancer
  • You have other mutations besides KRAS G12C
  • You are being treated for another type of cancer or have been in the past 2 years
