Tobacco Health Message Eye Tracking Study

We are looking for adults (21+) to participate in a one-time, in person eye-tracking appointment to help us understand how people view health messages. An eye tracker is a small camera attached to a laptop that can record where on a screen a person is looking.

Age & Gender

  • 21 years ~ 99 years
  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

Visit Availability

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)
  • Extended hours (M-F, early morning or evening)
  • Weekend hours, if needed

Location

North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

Participants will come to an appointment at our office or another study location in the Triangle. During the study appointment participants will view health messages and we will ask questions about their reactions and opinions about the messages. We will collect data using an eye tracker, which is a small camera attached to a laptop that can record where on a screen a person is looking.

Looking for Healthy Volunteers

Requirements for healthy volunteers are different than for those with a specific condition. If you are interested in becoming a healthy volunteer for this study, use the below categories to determine if you are able to participate.

Able to participate:

  • Use tobacco

Not eligible if:

  • The following eye conditions: Less than 2 eyes, Blindness , Cataracts, Glaucoma, Permanently Dilated Pupils, Eye Implants (artificial lenses), Lazy Eye, Wear bifocals
