A Study of Enzalutamide, Enzalutamide in Combination With Mifepristone, or Chemotherapy in People With Metastatic Breast Cancer

The purpose of this study to find out if enzalutamide, alone or combined with mifepristone, is effective in treating a specific type of breast cancer in comparison with standard chemotherapy with carboplatin, paclitaxel, capecitabine, or eribulin. The specific type of breast cancer include Triple-negative or ER/PgR-low and Androgen receptor positive breast cancer.

  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

What will be asked of you

The study involves study drug infusions or dosing, physical exams, Electrocardiogram (ECG) (if needed), CT or MRI scans, Brain MRI or CT (If needed), routine and research blood tests, collection of tumor tissue, biopsy (if needed), questionnaires.

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • You have advanced or metastatic breast cancer not amenable to local therapy
  • You have been told you have Triple-negative or ER/PgR-low breast cancer
  • You have Androgen receptor positive breast cancer
  • You do not have another cancer that requires treatment
  • You have the ability to swallow oral medications

Not eligible if:

  • You have a history of brain metastases
  • You are pregnant or breast feeding
  • You had more than one prior chemotherapy for your metastatic breast cancer
  • You had prior enzalutamide therapy
  • You are on long-term or concurrent use of corticosteroid therapy
