Neutrophil Blood Cell Count Study

In this study, we want to learn about people who have lower levels of a type of blood cell called neutrophils but are still healthy. We want to find the normal neutrophil count in these people. This will help doctors and patients avoid unnecessary tests.

Age & Gender

  • 18 years ~ 99 years
  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)

North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

At the visit, you will be asked a few questions about your health. The study also involves a blood draw.

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • You identify as Black/African American or have Middle Eastern Ancestry

Not eligible if:

  • You are on any medications that could affect your blood cell counts
  • You are currently ill or have been hospitalized recently
  • You were born with a genetic condition that affect your blood cell counts
  • You have any history of autoimmune conditions, cancer, or chronic infections
  • You have any history of bone marrow or other organ transplant
