IDH-Wildtype Glioblastoma Treatment Study

In this study, we will find out if a new experimental pill called ropidoxuridine can help improve the treatment of a brain cancer called IDH-Wildtype Glioblastoma. We want to see how well it works when used with radiation therapy.

  • 18 years ~ 99 years
  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)

What will be asked of you

You will meet with the study team to sign the consent form and conduct eligibility tests. If you are eligible, you will take a set dose of ropidoxuridine. You will take this medication every weekday for 7 weeks while receiving radiation therapy. Your tumor will be checked with scans. After finishing treatment, you will follow up with your physician in clinic every 2 to 3 months.

11, possibly more for long-term follow up
Total length of participation:
About 7 weeks of treatment, follow ups per standard of care

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • You have a confirmed supratentorial glioblastoma wt-IDH classification (with unMe-MGMT promoter)
  • You have not had radiation, electric field, or systemic therapy

Not eligible if:

  • You have another type of cancer that needs treatment within the next 6 months.
  • You use a proton pump inhibitors and histamine-2 blockers
  • You are not able to swallow oral medication or gastrointestinal disorder that might affect drug absorption
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have an ongoing bacterial, viral, or fungal infection requiring treatment
