What will be asked of you

Background questionnaire and language survey -- questions about demographics and language disorders. Participants will be at least 18 years of age and must be native speakers of English or learned English before the age of six. Eye-tracking task - participants wear a head-mounted eye-tracker while following instructions to hear a story and see pictures on the screen. Following each story participants will answer a question and say whether the picture matched the audio of the story.

Incentives

$15 per hour or 1 SONA credit (plus 0.5 extra travel credit)

Looking for Healthy Volunteers

Requirements for healthy volunteers are different than for those with a specific condition. If you are interested in becoming a healthy volunteer for this study, use the below categories to determine if you are able to participate.

Able to participate:

  • native English speaker
  • with normal/ corrected to normal vision

Not eligible if:

  • non-native English speaker
