Type One Diabetes and Hypoglycemia Study

This study is looking at how an oral pill used in combination with insulin reduces the risk of low blood sugar.

Age & Gender

  • 18 years ~ 99 years
  • Male, Female

Visit Availability

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)

North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

During this study you will stay on your CGM and insulin and will take study provided pills. Involvement includes wearing blinded CGMs, answering questionnaires, checking blood sugar and ketones as necessary, and lab draws.

Incentives

$100 for in person visits and $50 for phone visits , Diabetes supplies, lab results, vitals

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • Type One Diabetes
  • Using CGM
  • On same insulin for at least 3 months
  • If WOCBP, on birth control

Not eligible if:

  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • Not using CGM
  • Closed loop pumping
  • Do-it-yourself pumping
  • Not on birth control
