We are excited to invite you to participate in a research study on how people perceive news stories on social media. This study aims to understand what aspects of a news post draw people's attention and how these elements influence perceptions. What's involved? As a participant, you'll complete a short survey and then view a social media news post while an eye-tracking device to record where your attention is directed. This study session will take approximately 20-30 minutes and will be conducted in our on-campus lab. Some participants may be invited to a 10 minute follow-up interview to review their eye-tracking data and share additional thoughts. Why participate?
