Study of GIVinostat and Hydroxyurea for High-Risk Polycythemia Vera

The purpose of this study is to see if an investigational drug, GIVinostat, can help treat adults with a blood condition called Polycythemia Vera.

What will be asked of you

As a participant, here's what you can expect: - You will have blood work and vital signs taken. - An ECG (electrocardiogram) will be performed. - You will have a bone marrow biopsy twice. - A physical exam will be conducted. - You will complete questionnaires to share with us about your health.

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

Diagnosis of Polycythemia Vera
Adult 18 years of age or older
Abnormal blood levels

Not eligible if:

Good Liver and Kidney function
History of Cardiovascular Disease or unstable angina
Hepatitis B, or C or HIV
Stroke or MI
Documented GI disease
