Study of GIVinostat and Hydroxyurea for High-Risk Polycythemia Vera

The purpose of this study is to see if an investigational drug, GIVinostat, can help treat adults with a blood condition called Polycythemia Vera.

  • 18 years ~ 99 years
  • Male, Gender Inclusive

What will be asked of you

As a participant, here's what you can expect: - You will have blood work and vital signs taken. - An ECG (electrocardiogram) will be performed. - You will have a bone marrow biopsy twice. - A physical exam will be conducted. - You will complete questionnaires to share with us about your health.

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • Diagnosis of Polycythemia Vera
  • Adult 18 years of age or older
  • Abnormal blood levels

Not eligible if:

  • Good Liver and Kidney function
  • History of Cardiovascular Disease or unstable angina
  • Hepatitis B, or C or HIV
  • Stroke or MI
  • Documented GI disease
