Trial of Inhaled Ensifentrine for Bronchiectasis

This study aims to find out if inhaled Ensifentrine works well as a treatment for moderate to severe bronchiectasis. We will also check how safe the medication is and how well people can handle it.

  • 18 years ~ 85 years
  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

What will be asked of you

Come to in-person visits where we will: Check your vital signs. Take a blood sample. Have a physical exam by the study doctor. Fill out some questionnaires. Get refills of your study medication to use at home. Some visits will also include: Breathing tests. Collection of sputum (mucus) for testing. CT Scans of your Lungs/Chest

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • Are between the ages of 18 and 85
  • Have a diagnosis for bronchiectasis and have received antibiotics or been in the hospital for your condition in the last year
  • Regularly produce sputum (mucus) while coughing
  • Willing/able to travel to UNC-Eastowne medical center for study visits

Not eligible if:

  • Have a diagnosis of COPD
  • you are a current smoker
  • A diagnosis of primary ciliary dyskinesia or cystic fibrosis
  • have a history of cancer (treated or untreated) in the last 5 years except for skin cancer
  • are a current UNC student or employee
