The FoRtitude Interview Study

The goal of this research study is to interview breast cancer survivors who self-identify as Black/African American to obtain feedback and suggestions on refining the FoRtitude 2.0 eHealth intervention.

What will be asked of you

You will be asked to answer a brief survey to confirm your eligibility and to provide demographic information, information about your breast cancer and treatment, and about your experiences as a breast cancer survivor including questions about fear of recurrence. You will also be asked to review screenshots of the FoRtitude eHealth intervention and complete an interview with the study team to provide your feedback on the FoRtitude eHealth site.

3 weeks

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • Self-identify as Black/African-American, Adult Female
  • Have a history of breast cancer (Stage 0-III)
  • It has been least 1 year and up to 10 years since completing your breast cancer treatment
  • Have a moderate or severe fear of cancer recurrence
  • Able to access the internet via smartphone, tablet, or computer and are willing to be interviewed for the study

Not eligible if:

  • Have active cancer of any type (except squamous cell or basal cell carcinoma)
  • Do not read and write in English
  • Do not self-identify as Black/African-American
  • Are not female
  • It has been less than 1 year or more than 10 years since completing your breast cancer treatment.
