Study on primary focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) or minimal change disease (MCD)

The study will test three new medicines: frexalimab, SAR442970, and rilzabrutinib. These are for treating a kidney condition called FSGS or MCD. We want to find out if these medicines are safe and if they can reduce the amount of protein in your urine.

Age & Gender

  • 16 years ~ 75 years
  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

Visit Availability

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)
  • Visits can be combined with regular clinical appointments

North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

You will take the study medicine and one of our team members will check your vital signs and do a check-up. We will take a small sample of your blood and ask for a urine sample. We will also do a heart test called an ECG. We will ask you about any medicines you use and ask you to fill out two short surveys.

Incentives

information provided upon request, We will pay you back for the miles you drive to participate in the study.

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • biopsy-proven primary FSGS or primary MCD.
  • Protein present in urine
  • agreeing to use a contraceptive method

Not eligible if:

  • have received a transplant or are on the transplant list
  • pregnant/ breastfeeding
  • dialysis
  • recent cancer diagnosis
