Cashew Allergy Study in Children

The purpose of this study is to determine if there is a way to reduce the risk of allergic reactions in children (ages 1-11 years) with cashew allergy.

Age & Gender

  • 1 years ~ 11 years
  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

Visit Availability

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)

Location

North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

Types of procedures: Administration of study drug (drops under the tongue), keeping home dosing diary, allergy skin testing, saliva collection, blood collection, oral food challenges

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • Cashew Allergy
  • Ages 1-11 years
  • Live in NC or neighboring states

Not eligible if:

  • Are already on immunotherapy for cashew
  • Take a biologic medication
  • Have severe asthma
  • Have other serious chronic illness
