Social Arousal in Infants

This study uses eye tracking and parent questionnaires to learn about social arousal and interest in infants. We are looking for families that have a baby under two years of age who do not have concerns about their child's development.

Age & Gender

  • 6 months ~ 2 years
  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

Visit Availability

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)
  • Extended hours (M-F, early morning or evening)

Location

North Carolina (Statewide)

What will be asked of you

During the in-person visit, your child will watch a series of videos while their eye movements are tracked, and you will complete a parent interview about your child. This study also involves completing online questionnaires about your child's behaviors.

Looking for Healthy Volunteers

Requirements for healthy volunteers are different than for those with a specific condition. If you are interested in becoming a healthy volunteer for this study, use the below categories to determine if you are able to participate.

Able to participate:

  • You have an infant between 6 months and 24 months of age
  • Your infant has an older sibling

Not eligible if:

  • Your infant has a first degree relative with an autism diagnosis
  • Your infant has a known genetic condition, visual impairment, or auditory impairment
