Opioid Use Disorder Treatment and Prevention in North Carolina EMS

Emergency medical services provide prehospital emergency care across North Carolina, and often provide care to patients struggling with opioids. Care provided to these patients may be in the form of prevention, treatments, and harm reduction strategies. This study intends to gather information using a survey sent out to EMS administrators in NC, to ask questions about the prehospital treatment of patients with opioid use disorder. The survey will include questions about the number of patients they see and the strategies they use to treat these patients.
