What will be asked of you

If you decide to join the study, your doctor will first check your exam and test results to see if it's safe for you to participate. If you do join, you will have more check-ups and tests to keep an eye on your health. Most of these are similar to the care you would typically receive, even if you weren't part of the study. Some check-ups and tests are only for the study and not part of regular care. If you receive atezolizimab, you'll have blood tests to check your thyroid health. You will also be asked to answer questions on two forms. These questions will be about how well you can swallow, how you feel physically, and how you feel emotionally. Researchers will use this information to better understand how cancer and its treatment affect people.
