Anterior knee pain (pain at the front of the knee) is very common amongst athletes and may lead to chronic symptoms that affect psychological wellbeing, physical activity engagement, and overall health. The purpose of the study is to understand whether athletic identity (personality factor), perceived stress (stressors), and pain self-efficacy (coping resource) influence the relationships between pain, fear, and physical activity in individuals with knee pain. The results of this study will allow for an increased understanding of the pain processing and behaviours of individuals with anterior knee pain, and may elucidate novel intervention targets to reduce pain and fear and increase physical activity engagement.
You will respond to a screening questionnaire and if you are eligible for the study you will complete 7 questionnaires online.
