Ventral Hernia Study

This study looks at why some people need emergency surgery for ventral hernias instead of getting them fixed earlier with planned surgeries. It focuses on patients in Central North Carolina and Southeastern North Carolina, where many people smoke, are overweight, or have diabetes. The researchers want to understand what makes it hard for people to get the surgery they need on time. Their goal is to help more people get care earlier and avoid emergency surgeries.
