We want to understand how the brain and the body's stress responses contribute to anhedonia (the loss of enjoyment) in teens over time. Our big question is whether different patterns of activity in the brain and body are linked to loss of enjoyment, and how they change over time.
Your teen will visit UNC both online and in person at 3 points in time over 20 months. Each time, they'll fill out surveys, get brain pictures taken, and do tasks to see how they think and respond to stress. We'll also ask you, the guardian, to fill out some surveys about themselves your teen.
Teens can earn up to $590 and caregivers can earn up to $225
